Sheringham is located on the A148 bewteen Wells Next The Sea and Cromer. It is a small fishing village, with narrow streets, Edwardian and Victorian houses, it also has a local railway and museum, with steam trains running 5 miles to Holt from February to December. It is a popular destination for tourists, being only a few miles from Cromer. The Beach is mainly shingle, along a cliff face, with coastal walks. National Trust Parks and the Splash Tropical Leisure Centre are located on the edge of the town. Carnival week is the 1st week in August each year.
