Peterborough is located on the A47, 25 miles from Wisbech. The city has a Cathedral, though not as grand as Ely and a very open planned feel to the modern outside shopping area with a large square. The bulk of its shops are in the Queengate Shopping Centre, which has approximately 100 shops under cover, with connecting vast multi storey carparks. The markets - established for over 2,000 years are on Tuesday and Saturdays. The bus and railway station are close to the shopping centre. The city is surrounded by modern houses and retail parks, which are accessed by a huge ring road, which also houses the Peterborough Show Ground, with events such as the annual East of England show in mid June and the BMF - British Motorcyle Federation annual events. The city also has an Ice Rink and large Bowling Alley.
