The Downham Market Festival 2004 was held on Monday 31 May. It was well attended and the weather stayed sunny and very warm for the whole day, despite the poor predictions. The processsion of floats started at Birds Mill near the Railway Station, travelling through the town and ending up on the Howdale, the entire route was lined by a waving audience. In the main arena on the Howdale there was a display of mock battles by Knights in Armour, with side stalls, fair rides and the usual array of stalls covering the rest of the Howdale. |
