Castle Acre is located 5 milies past Swaffham on the A1065. The priory was builit in 1537, entrance is free, however there is not much to see as it is a ruined monument, although very scenic. It is a good area for walks, with Peddars Way, an ancient footpath route from Suffolk to Hunstanton.
